Hummingbird Preschool program is a licensed family daycare, providing a nurturing and creative childcare experience for a small intimate group of children, ages 2.8 to 5 years old. Children attend 2, 3 or 4 mornings a week, and are led through a structured 1/2 day program with planned activities and open choice play time.

Children explore and learn while having plenty of space to move their bodies in a bright and cheerful play room. The play room is equipped with a variety of quality made developmentally appropriate toys which include a sand and water table, a manipulatives area, a dress-up corner, tumbling mats, a make believe housekeeping area, a large art and science project table, a snack and lunch area, and a book nook.

Located in Montague Center in Montague Massachusetts, Hummingbird Preschool's backyard is a forty acre meadow conservation area which provides many opportunities for nature activities, outdoor exploration and physical exercise. Children learn about where food comes from and how to care for animals by participating in garden projects and chicken and goat care. 

Hummingbird Preschool's curriculum focuses on nurturing children's physical, social, intellectual and emotional development, with a special emphasis on art, nature, imaginative play and on helping children to establish productive social relationships with others. School year and summer camp programs are available.
